Tomatillo Salsa

Juanita’s Journey…

My long-standing love of cooking, travel and different cuisines around the world has inspired this unique product.

Tomatillo is a small spherical shaped berry of the tomato family used as a vegetable.

It originated in Mexico and was cultivated by the Aztecs centuries before the Spanish explorers introduced it to other parts of the world.

Serving Suggestions

A Simple Salsa Creation: Can be used straight from the jar as a salsa or dip. Or... brown 600g of pork or chicken in a pan. Add 1 large chopped onion, 2 cloves of minced garlic, your Tomatillo sauce, 1/2 cup of a good chicken or vegetable stock and simmer until meat is tender. Serve in warm corn tortillas with refried beans and/or Mexican rice.

Tomatillos (40%), Onions, Garlic, Jalapeños, Coriander, Limes, Lemon Juice, Salt
